Triumph Story Article Template

Triumph Story Article Template What does the word "triumph" mean to you? To achieve where no one else has succeeded? To be a victorious hero? To win? To persevere? Stories of triumph don't need to be epic herculean feats. Real triumph stories - the stories readers can relate to or place themselves in the story - inspire us all and prove anything is possible. Whether it's a tale of an underdog overcoming great odds or someone dealing with a variety of obstacles to achieve success - stories of triumph are engaging and captivating. So how do you, as an article writer, take advantage of the fact people want to hear stories of triumph? Use this article template for your next article and share a story of triumph! Picking Your Triumph Story Consider where in your niche you are today or in your personal life. What obstacles did you overcome or what milestones did you surpass? Dig out the details and consider what keys or steps to the story make it informative and benefit others. Alternately, you could share someone else's triumphs by relating them to your niche. When you get inspired by someone else's triumph, take note of the scenario so you can write about it later. The key to writing about another's triumphs is to make sure it's originally presented by bringing a new angle to the story if it's something that has already been written about. Also, (in both scenarios) consider how the story is relevant to your niche and your reader. You can tweak the story to include other lessons, tips, and more, but remember: the goal of telling a triumph story is to send the message to your reader that anything is possible. Writing Your Triumph Story Article Introduce with Your Hook - Your first 2-3 lines should instantly hook the reader and introduce the story. Keep in mind these three elements: be reader-oriented, be relevant, and give the reader a taste of what's to come in the article. Tell the Story - Here's where the pertinent details either from your memory or from the notes you recorded will come into play. Consider how stories that inspired you were told and channel that inspiration into your writing. Reflect - Think about what the story of triumph means for your niche. Explain your thoughts in detail. Final Thoughts - Share how the story ends or explain how it stands today and what the future holds. Reiterate your core message or the key take-away of your story so your reader can consider it for themselves. Prove anything is possible! There is no triumph story too big or too small. Use this template today to share your underdog story and how you persevered! Have you ever written an article based on triumph? Share your experiences and triumph in the comments section here. Across the Pond: American vs. British English‏

Across the Pond: American vs. British English English Language Tug of War English Dialects: American English, British English, South African English, Australian English, Cockney English, Southern American English... There are so many! For every dialect, someone will vow their version is the "right" version: "Americans can't spell." "The British can't tell advise from advice." We've heard it all! Before we get into the differences of American vs. British English, let's get one thing straight: Just as many British English writers struggle with poor grammar and spelling as American English writers. Whew! Glad that's out of the way! Whether you use American or British English, we will accept either as long as you stay consistent in the dialect you use throughout the whole article. Today's guide will help you on your journey to discovering the subtle nuances of American English and British English as well as strengthening your article writing skills. Let's get started! 5 American vs. British English Language Spelling Guidelines 1. Words ending in -or (American) vs. -our (British) Neighbor vs. Neighbour Favor vs. Favour 2. Words ending in -er (American) vs. -re (British) Center vs. Centre Meter vs. Metre 3. Verbs ending in -ize (American) vs. -ise (British) Organize vs. Organise Realize vs. Realise 4. Verbs ending in -yze (American) vs. -yse (British) Analyze vs. Analyse Paralyze vs. Paralyse 5. Nouns ending in -ense (American) vs. - ence (British) License vs. Licence Defense vs. Defence Please note the above guidelines are not comprehensive and there are many exceptions. If you are unsure, keep a dictionary on hand or perform a quick Internet search to ensure you are using the correct spelling for either dialect. Here are a few more spelling examples of American vs. British English to watch out for: Canceled (American) vs. Cancelled (British) Enroll (American) vs. Enrol (British) Gray (American) vs. Grey (British) Check (American) vs. Cheque (British) Maneuver (American) vs. Manoeuvre (British) What Did They Do to My Definite Article?! Our final guideline today on American vs. British English language often aggravates American English writers: "Why do British English writers insist on dropping the definite article (e.g. a, an, the, etc.) in phrases with institutional nouns (e.g. university, hospital, prison, etc.)?" For British English writers, it's based on the intention of the phrase. For example: John is at university. John is at the university. "John is at university" is the British English equivalent to the American English "John is a university student." When we add the definite article ("John is at the university"), the meaning changes: John is no longer necessarily a college student; he is merely located on the university's property. We've covered a lot of ground today! Remember: Be consistent and when all else fails, look up the spelling based on the dialect to ensure you don't confuse your audience. Stop the tug of war over the English language and strengthen your article writing skills by keeping these guidelines in mind for your next set of quality, original articles. Common Article Writing Roadblocks‏

Common Article Writing Roadblocks 5 Tips to Safely Steer Clear of Promotional Roadblocks Balancing websites, blogs, social media, article writing, and more, can be an incredible challenge! So how do you ensure you're a success? Don't drive (traffic) recklessly! By acknowledging there may be potential roadblocks ahead and knowing how to steer clear of these would-be hazards, you can ensure your article journey goes smoothly for you and your readers. Watch this video to discover the first Common Article Writing Roadblock many new and experienced Expert Authors encounter: Product Sales/Promotional Content. Downloadable Versions: Recap of the Product Sales/Promotional Content Roadblock 1. Avoid Promotion in Your Titles Strengthen your credibility by saving your name and any other self-branding methods for your Resource Box. Use your title to attract readers by making sure it's relevant and enriched with reader-oriented keywords to attract a wide audience. 2. Write Unbiased Reviews Readers shut down at any sign of a sales pitch because they like to arrive at their own conclusions about a product or service after gathering information. Remember: "Tell not sell" by providing quality, unbiased information in your articles. 3. Don't Be the Solution Build a bridge of trust: from your quality article to your quality website. Provide alternative solutions to your reader's pain-points in your articles, but don't be the solution (e.g. "I have these awesome products and services that will ease your pain"). 4. Avoid Misusing Your Links Strategically place your links to achieve the highest CTR (Click-Through-Rate) potential and amplify your online visibility. Our data suggests articles with the highest CTR provide only two self-serving links in the Resource Box! 5. Stay Clear of Self-Serving Content Be exclusive! What draws a reader to a particular article is information written for THEM, i.e. they're the focus, not a product or service in a sales pitch. In every article, provide 100% exclusive content that targets the reader's personal or professional interests. Roadblocks, like product sales or promotional content in articles, can bring your article writing efforts to a stand-still! Staying alert to avoid potential roadblocks ahead and planning your route will help you continue a non-stop journey to building your exposure and increasing trust with your readers. Doing so will help you drive qualified traffic back to your blog or website and cultivate a long-term relationship with your audience. Author Resource Box Changes‏

Author Resource Box Changes What Makes a Good User-Experience? Trust. Readers are savvy. They have intuitively amassed a level of expectations used to determine if the information presented to them is legitimate within 3-4 seconds. 3 seconds! The experiences the reader has had over time, good and bad, will form a collection of rules they will naturally use to define their expectations (their mental model), i.e. what makes or breaks their trust. Traffic, backlinks, click-through-rates (CTR), etc. don't matter if the reader or visitor doesn't trust you as an Expert Author. There is also the transparency principle that search engines believe builds user trust. How can we improve the likelihood the reader can trust you? By continually searching for the methods and the means to help you leverage your credibility and build your reader's trust. "About This Author" Our most recent test was the addition of "About this Author" to your articles, which appeared just above your Resource Box. We made a distinction between your article body and Resource Box and made it clear where your article ended and Resource Box content began. This is NOT a new model. In fact, most competitor sites already do separate the "About The Author" from the article body. Deep down, even if you disagreed with our test, you know this is the right thing to do if user trust over the long-term is important. If you know us very well, you also know we're not in this business for the short-term and we've been improving our model since November of 1999. We know quality trumps all and transparency builds trust over time. Trust comes down to a few crucial elements: Quality, Relevance, and Transparency. A quality article that is markedly original and informative, is benefit-oriented and relevant to the reader, is without self-promotion and is clearly transparent in intention and objective, will build the reader's trust. If the reader's expectations are already pre-defined by previous experiences and they automatically profile articles into their read or toss categories, we need to draw more attention to the quality of your articles, increase reader focus on relevance, and forge transparency. By clearly outlining the article from the Resource Box, readers can zero-in on the quality, relevant information you have provided in the article to build trust. It also draws attention to you, your brand, and your Call-to-Action in your Resource Box by clearly identifying you as the author, rather than blending the article with your Resource Box. One metric we track closely is your author resource box click-through rate (CTR). CTR percentage is a gauge of how effective your articles are at generating traffic back to your website. The CTR range for our members is between 2-12%. To calculate your CTR, we divide the total article clicks by your article view. CTR = CLICKS / ARTICLE VIEWS Keep in mind, anything beyond 1% is already an AWESOME CTR as most direct marketing vehicles barely come close to a 1% CTR. After our change, we did see CTR decrease but do note that your CTR percentage is not the only deciding factor in whether or not your article delivers a quality user-experience. After all, it doesn’t matter if a reader clicked through to your site only to be disappointed and never return. In addition, article view totals also help narrate the user-experience story. I know I would much rather see 8,000 article views and 240 clicks (3% CTR) versus 2,000 article page views and 100 clicks (5% CTR). A high CTR doesn’t matter if the user doesn’t trust you. Today you may see a high CTR, but long-term results will be less than desirable. For now, the Resource Box changes made last week were reverted a few hours ago. We’ll study the data and look for opportunities to improve trust with our tens of millions of readers while keeping our focus on delivering highly pre-qualified traffic to your site. Over the next week, we'll analyze the data we gathered from this study and share our findings. To Your Article Writing Success & Passion! Top Spelling Blunders Part IV‏

Top Spelling Blunders Part IV Whoops! Make that "The Last Set of Knives..." It's that time again! So far we've covered 15 spelling keys in the Top Spelling Blunders series. Why? To help you strengthen your article writing skills by avoiding glaring errors that could lower your credibility! Let's kick off this next batch of the most common spelling blunders with this proofreading tip: Catch those pesky errors by changing your perspective or proofreading environment. Change your font, read from the bottom-up, change your screen size, etc. This will help you focus on areas of your writing that you may unknowingly skip over. Without further ado, here are your next 5 spelling blunders to include in your proofreading checklist to strengthen your article writing skills. Thier vs. Their Remember that rule “I” before “E” except after “C”? When it comes to the word their, throw that rule right out the window. Their is the possessive form of they, which is used before a noun. It can also be used to replace his or her. Example: Their home is just around the corner. Example: John forgot his lunch. Susie forgot her lunch. They forgot their lunch. Key: Their heir is on the weir. Layed vs. Laid Before the Grammar Police raid this post on the differences between lie, lay, and laid, let's get this spelling blunder out of the way - "layed" is not a word. What this blunder is attempting to achieve is the past form of lay, which becomes laid. Example: The police told him to lay down his weapon, so Jack laid down his pen. Key: Like the words paid (not "payed") and said (not "sayed"), it's laid (not "layed"). Special Note: Don't worry, we'll earmark this one for a later date to discuss Lie vs. Lay vs. Laid. Knifes vs. Knives Most of the time, common nouns ending in "f" or "fe" are made into the plural form by adding an "s" to the end of the word (this is always true for proper nouns or names given to specific persons, places, or things). Irregular nouns ending in "f" or "fe" (e.g. knife) are made plural by changing the "f" to "ves" (e.g. knives). This is one of those weird English language rules you will want to reference from time-to-time until you are sure. Example: This is the last set of knives you will ever need to buy! Key: Thieves hide knives up their sleeves. Aswell vs. As Well The phrase as well (in addition; as much) does not form a compound. Similar to the word "every time", the phrase "as well" should always be a phrase (i.e. two words separated by a space because they just don't get along). Example: Although, I don't like tacos as well as I once did, I will have the tacos as well. Key: I'll take a space as well. Targetted vs. Targeted Why should "targetted" be targeted? The confusion is caused by past tense words ending in ed that may require an additional letter, such as occur and occurred or permit and permitted. Instead of getting up on my linguistic soapbox and going into stressed vs. unstressed vowels, let's chalk this one up to one of the silly rules of the English language best served by memory and a dictionary. Example: They targeted their missiles at the incoming asteroid. Key: Ted targeted the target with one "T". The robots' knives may not have targeted the balloon as well as their lasers, but they laid down on the grass before we could discover other balloon bursting weapons! Due to popular demand, we will be postponing our Top Spelling Blunders series over the next few weeks to uncover common grammatical errors. Keep an eye out for more of our spelling and grammar keys to ensure your articles are error free. Doing so will increase your credibility and drive more traffic to your blog or website! Article Content vs. Real Life: Location Stuffing‏

Article Content vs. Real Life: Location Stuffing Lenny Wordsmith Bungles Top Ten Location stuffing is like handing a tourist a blank map and then telling them to meet you on the corner of Broadway and Main. Not only will the tourist get lost, but they certainly will be wary of trusting you again. If you choose to target an audience or demographic based on a location (instead of a national or even global audience), ensure you are providing the reader with a detailed, unambiguous map that is relevant to your article's topic. In the 10th episode of the Article Content vs. Real Life series, discover how Late Night Article Writing host Lenny Wordsmith learns to provide value without location stuffing. Downloadable Versions: Be a World-Class Expert: Just Say No to Location Stuffing Think of it this way: Let's say you are lawyer in San Diego, California. You may feel like every single bit of information in your article is specific to San Diego - but is it really? Sad to say, but people from all over the country still need law advice about bankruptcy, DUI charges, divorce, etc., not just San Diego or California for that matter. So your information may be applied to audiences in other states, not just California. Lenny Wordsmith's mistake was that he was alienating the majority of his global audience by location stuffing "Canada" without context or reason. Let's take a closer look at what Lenny was saying before his Editor stepped in: "EzineArticles Blog Canada", "Video Channels Canada", and "your unresolved issues Canada". Not only is this information ambiguous, it's grammatically incorrect and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Focus on being grammatically correct and delivering value to your readers. Simply repeating the location doesn't add value to your article and your readers will see right through you. However, if your reader feels like they could walk right into the location with your article guiding them like a map - that is valuable information. A Good Writer in Hawaii Is a Good Writer in Italy Be knowledgeable, concentrate on the content you're delivering, and do not try to manipulate your audience subliminally. Location-specific articles can have some great benefits - if done correctly. Should you include a location in the title of your article and/or the article itself, always consider whether it adds value to your article by providing key insights that are truly unique to that location and that location only. For more information on how to write with a location in mind, check out our quick 2 Minute Approval Tip: Make Location-Based Articles Specific. Reactions? Laughs? EzineArticles Member Endorsement "EzineArticles is a wonderful reservoir of good content on many topics." As little as 3 years ago I read several references to EzineArticles as the leading website for articles. The marketing principle of giving away of something of value for free in order to sell something else, resonated with me. It is also a way to establish your voice and brand in a more structured professional manner than typical social media i.e. Facebook, Twitter, et al. They have their place and are useful to an author/writer. However, the growth of the internet creates a huge demand for quality content.I still think the key is to write "quality content". If it is well written, accessible, and of timely interest to people it will get plenty of attention. EzineArticles is a wonderful reservoir of good content on many topics. Top Spelling Blunders Part III‏

Top Spelling Blunders Part III A Little Practice Will Take Your Efforts a Long Way Your ability to communicate with your audience will give your credibility an incredible boost, strengthen your efforts online and offline, as well as afford you the freedom to concentrate your energy elsewhere. A critical piece of communication is using correct spelling and good grammar. This will ensure you maintain your reader's attention on you and your topic. You may consider investing in a spellchecker, finding a proofreader, or enrolling in an English Grammar course. Whatever you choose to do, you can rely on getting spelling and grammar tips right here. So let's get to it: Here are your next 5 spelling blunders to include in your proofreading checklist to strengthen your article writing skills. Seperate vs. Separate If you are desperate to distance yourself from the "seperate" blunder, break down the word separate to find its meaning. Se-para-te: apart from - to one side of - te (Correct) Se-per-ate: apart from - through/during/each - ate (Incorrect) Example: I separate my pens from my pencils. Key: Separate your parakeets. Indispensible vs. Indispensable To ible or able, that is the question. They have incredible similarities, but which is usable? If you want to make yourself indispensable to your readers, our biggest recommendation to solving this one quandary: Grab a dictionary. Through use and practice, eventually ible and able will become second nature. Example: Your insight is indispensable. Key: Gables are indispensable. Occuring vs. Occurring This little suffix can trip everyone up: ing. The confusion here is rooted in words ending in ing that require an additional letter or an omission of a letter to complete the word. For example: write and writing, run and running, occur and occurring, etc. Example: Prevent errors from occurring. Key: Double the R in occurring. Recieve vs. Receive The dreaded ie vs. ei! You may have heard this phrase: "I" before "E" except after "C". This is a fairly good guideline to stick by, but there are always exceptions. Consult your dictionary if you are not sure. Example: You will receive a gift! Key: "I" before "E" except after "C" = Re-C-EI-ve. Ghandi vs. Gandhi This prominent figure is the first name to make it to our lists: Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, a.k.a. Mahatma Gandhi. Why is Gandhi's name spelled incorrectly? This may be due to the similar sounds ga and gha (e.g. Ghana, gander, and Gandhi). Example: Gandhi pioneered the use non-violent resistance. Key: Take a gander at Gandhi and you will see freedom. Be like Gandhi: Become indispensable! Separate yourself from the crowd and prevent spelling blunders from occurring to receive tons of credibility! Gandhi said "an ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching." We will always provide you with tons of spelling and grammar tips, but it is up to you to put them into practice! Not only will you strengthen your ability to communicate with your audience by practicing, you will gain the freedom you need to concentrate your efforts elsewhere. We will have another installment of spelling blunders over the next few weeks and soon we'll begin tackling usage errors. Keep an eye out for our spelling and grammar keys to ensure your articles are error free. Doing so will increase your credibility and drive more traffic to your blog or website! How to Find the Perfect Niche for You‏

How to Find the Perfect Niche for You What's a niche anyway? Your niche is essentially your expertise and/or the type of information you provide your audience in your articles. It can be broad or narrow and it can be based on your interests or your products/services. If you are just starting out in article writing or simply wish to realign yourself as an Expert Author, we have some simple questions to help guide you in finding/refining the perfect niche for you. Grab a pen and paper and let's get to it! 1. What is your expertise and/or what are you passionate about? Identify the root of your passions and/or expertise. This can be as simple as your career, your hobbies, etc. In columns, write down your roots and then find those that most interest you. 2. What areas are you the most knowledgeable in? Think about topics in which you have a wealth of knowledge. Write these topics in the corresponding column from question #1. These are the areas that will make great article writing topics because it's difficult to leverage yourself as an expert if you are not knowledgeable or have no real experience in the niche you are writing about. 3. What is your ultimate goal for article writing? If you are like most Expert Authors, you have chosen article writing for results. These results may include building your credibility, boosting your visibility or exposure to the online community, and ultimately increasing traffic to your website or blog. With that in mind, what product or services, blogs or websites do you have that are relevant to your passions and your expertise? List these next to the corresponding answers you listed in question #2. You can use this information in your Resource Box or Author Signature, as well as your Expert Author Profile! 4. Write and Publish! If you have answered questions 1-3, congratulations: You just identified your primary niches and brainstormed your next set of quality articles! Consider your responses in questions 1-3. Package each of your answers in your own informative, unique article while infusing your personal experience and insights. Then provide a highly relevant website or blog link in your Resource Box to build your exposure. Remember: Your readers rely on you for unique and valuable information. Be sure to capture and maintain their attention with quality reader-oriented information in the article and then promote yourself in your Resource Box. 5. Refining and Tweaking Your Niches Once you have published articles in your chosen niche(s), you can continue to refine your articles until you discover the very precise niche(s) that suit you and your audience. Keep an eye on the Performance of your articles to determine which of the topics and niches are attracting the best response from audiences. This will help you further refine and define your niche. Who wouldn't want to build their life around their passions? Readers are most compelled by passion. Writing what you know (and of course building upon what you know) because you are passionate about your expertise will show in your articles! As you continue discovering and exploring new information every day, new niches will open to you. Revisit the above niche-refining questions from time to time to foster new ideas and growth into new niches. To Your Article Writing Success & Passion! Branding: The Shield Your Articles Need

Branding: The Shield Your Articles Need Protect Your Articles and Increase Your Exposure Frustrated by scoundrels taking your work and then having to prove you are the original author? Before you break out the pitchforks and call for the paddy wagon, consider this: Many of these "scoundrels" are not copy-cats looking for an easy article to prey on. Many are just misinformed and others may have made a simple mistake. Either way, here are some measures you can take to protect your articles and maintain your credibility easily. Preventive Action: Branding Branding yourself as an Expert Author in any niche requires consistency in the quality and quantity of the articles you produce, as well as a solid byline or author name. Your author name creates strength, confidence, and credibility in your brand. So why wouldn't you use it to your full advantage? Think of it as using a branding iron to stamp your author name on each and every one of your articles. Wherever your article goes, no matter the platform, your name goes with it. If you write under different pen names (or alternate author names), ensure these names are consistent with your articles by staying organized. Keep a database of your author names, the articles attributed to those names, and where the articles are published. This ensures you won't publish an article under the wrong brand. Also, should your articles appear elsewhere without proper credit to you, you can legitimately prove the article is yours without confusing one of your author names with another. Preventive Action: Resource Box Ensure your article's byline matches the signature line or Resource Box of the article. Publishers are required to include the author's full Resource Box or author's signature line at the end of the article, so it is advantageous to have a strong Resource Box. Here are 4 items we recommend to include in your Resource Box: Your Name Your Unique Selling Proposition Your Call-to-Action Your Website Address Not only do these four items increase brand-awareness, they create an impression and help readers find you wherever your article goes on the Internet! If Action Is Needed: Communicate Should you find your articles elsewhere and there has been no attempt to cite you as the original author: Open a line of communication by contacting the owner/webmaster of the site and ask them to fix the oversight. This will normally accomplish the end result you are looking for as most webmasters just need to be informed - it might have been an oversight or mistake. If after you contact them and no action has been taken within 48 hours, contact the site's ISP/Host. Ask them to enforce their AUP (Acceptable Use Policy). This information can usually be found by doing a WHOIS lookup on the domain name. We expect publisher(s) to follow our reprint rules as stated in our Terms of Service for Publishers. However, it is up to you to take action against those who abuse your copyright or mistakenly published your article on their site without providing due credit. Check out your Reprint Rights in our Terms of Service for Authors. Don't be afraid of publishers picking up your articles! If you create articles publishers find valuable, they will distribute your content to their ezine subscribers, which in turn provides you with great exposure and additional backlinks! Remember: Take preventive action with proper branding and if action is needed, give them the benefit of the doubt before jumping to any conclusions. Who knows? You may even build a new working relationship! Share your favorite branding technique here! To Your Article Writing Success & Passion! Top Spelling Blunders Part II‏

Top Spelling Blunders Part II It's spreading! Run for your grammatical lives! While emoticons and text-speak have their place in the instant messaging world (e.g. LOL b4 u go dont u hve 2 rite ur arcles? :P), readers don't warm-up to it in articles. Good grammar and correct spelling is paramount to your success as a credible author. That's why we collected the most common spelling mistakes in order to help you maintain your credibility and build confidence in your writing skills. Let's get to it: Here are your next 5 spelling blunders you can include in your proofreading checklist to assure your credibility is untarnished! Payed vs. Paid It may be argued that payed is acceptable due to its traces to Middle English (between the 11th and the late 15th century). However, if we were speaking Middle English, we'd still be using thou and thy. The confusion often occurs when you try to form the simple past by adding a d or ed to the root of a regular verb (e.g. collect becomes collected). The word pay is not your everyday verb. Pay is an irregular verb or a verb that doesn't follow the standard conjugation. Bottomline: Pay becomes paid (past simple and past participle) and not payed. Example: I paid a visit to my neighbor and then I paid my bills. Key: Ease irregularity by putting pay in the past - drop the y and add an id to form paid. Withing vs. Within If you are scratching your head on this one, welcome to the club. Withing is the act of weaving stems or twigs twisted to form a rope called a withe. However, digging into the issue we discovered for every occurrence of withing, the author intended to use the word within (meaning: inside or indoors). Example: Inquire within. Key: Your article writing twin is within. Reoccurrence vs. Recurrence The correct word in this instance is recurrence, which means to happen repeatedly or to return. The mix-up lies in occurrence, meaning an incident or something that happens. To make an occurrence happen again and again, we need the prefix re. However, in proper English, we drop the o and the first c before we tack on the re, to form recurrence. Example: The lack of respect for the apostrophe is a recurrence I cannot bear. Key: Why enjoy it once? Drop the oc and make it a smashing recurrence! Doesnt vs. Doesn't A contraction is the process of becoming smaller (or when a muscle becomes or is made shorter and tighter). In the English language, a contraction is commonly represented by an apostrophe, i.e. do not becomes don't and let us becomes let's. The correct contraction of the phrase does not is doesn't. Doesnt isn't an acceptable word in the English language. Example: He doesn't have a pen. Key: Doesn't it look good to use an apostrophe! Definately vs. Definitely Definately: This blunder is a surefire way to upset the grammar police. The correct word here is definitely, which means without a doubt or clearly and is often used for emphasis. Let's break this down: Definitely The prefix de: down, away, completely, removal, or reversal (e.g. derail, decrease, defunct, defrost, etc.). Finite: having limits, the opposite of infinite. Finate: not a word. Example: He will definitely spell correctly in the future! Key: The ape ate the ite in definitely! Definitely stop the recurrence of these blunders: within, doesn't, and paid! It has been said if you repeat something 7 times, you can commit it to memory. Commit these 5 words to memory by writing them down 7 times (correctly) and say each letter out loud as you write. That's easy! There will be more spelling blunders over the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for our spelling keys to ensure your articles are error free. Doing so will increase your credibility and drive more traffic to your blog or website! Did you miss our last edition of Top Spelling Blunders? Check out the top 5 here. Want Freedom? Write with Confidence‏

Want Freedom? Write with Confidence "Marketing my business through article writing is so much more valuable when I understand the benefits! Building my brand has never been easier and it allows me more freedom to meet the needs of my customers." If this is not a statement that you would readily make, BUT want to, then we've got some tips for you! It's hard to believe that branding with articles will dramatically increase your credibility and where you rank in otherwise saturated niches. Not only is it possible, it's easy compared to an exhausting and expensive marketing campaign! Many article writers share these basic goals: Increase traffic, build exposure, enhance credibility, and be profitable. If you stop and think about the marketing benefits of article writing, you may think you understand it all. However, you may face unresolved issues, such as branding misfires, dead links, or misguided sales tactics. These issues turn readers away and don’t give you the full benefit of the article writing system. Before I get carried away with how to easily get rid of these unresolved issues, let's answer a question: What is one benefit of marketing my business with articles? A: Freedom Consider the smartphone. Before smartphones debuted to the masses, one had to carry a planner or datebook, a laptop, wristwatch, music player, and other devices. Not only did the smartphone make it more efficient to access these tools and achieve our goals, but it gave us the freedom to dedicate our time elsewhere. In turn, article writing is the same way. Place less emphasis on the gadgets (i.e. SEO, keywords, flash, etc.) and more on the quality of your articles. Doing so will allow you the freedom to dedicate your time elsewhere while still achieving your goals. So how do you gain freedom? Address your unresolved issues to build confidence: Tune-In to Your Target Market: Connect your credibility dots for your audience by linking to content related to the article. If you are a Landscape Architect, don't expect to deliver worthy backyard landscaping tips to your friend's football audience. The only landscaping tip a football audience is interested in is turf durability. Rome Wasn't Built in a Day: 10 articles in a saturated niche that repeat what authors before you have said over and over is NOT going to sell your product or service. Keep writing, be memorable, and be inviting! Don't Settle for Word Muck: Build confidence in your writing by improving your skillset. If your writing is dry or passive, improve it by using active language and providing an engaging analogy. Bottom-line: Don't write for the sake of getting something down. Compel with confidence 100% of the time. Don’t Be a Broken Record: Don't be "THAT AUTHOR" who bores readers by saying everything and nothing at the same time. Deliver your original, quick and easy tips or techniques and you'll be sure to retain their attention. It's not about the RACE, it's about ENDURANCE: Let this be your mantra to freedom! Don't think that being the first author to write a thousand articles will do the trick. While you'll certainly be applauded for those efforts, the real challenge is in delivering quality time and time again and providing new information that answers new questions. So before your writing efforts dry up, write with confidence by addressing unresolved issues and providing value. Build an article library that is an asset and it will work for you for years to come. Your freedom is counting on it! To Your Article Writing Success & Passion! I became an EzineArticles.com expert author back in 2008. I was skeptical about this marketing strategy as a resume writer since my business is in a narrow niche. So, my approach was to write higher quality info articles that would truly benefit my readers. It worked well. Here is a no hype summary of my five star results versus the previous year: 608% increase in web traffic. 200% increase in website visit time. 258% increase in return website traffic. 100% increase in conversion rate. 170 info articles posted again on websites. Many new clients from the U.S. and Canada. Thanks to EzineArticles.com, I have helped 600 more job hunters get hired this year. God bless you all. Darrell DiZoglio RighteousResumes.com
